There’s a saying: “In like Flynn.” Well, Svetlana Dalla Lana, née Rilkoff, took that one quite literally… MAGA Mike Flynn. 😂
Looking at the people featured in my earlier article, “The Grifty Bunch”: Alberta’s Separatist Politics and the Voter-Data Scandal That Demands Answers, I find myself asking whether some of the hostility directed at me had a political dimension I had not fully considered.
Btw this snapshot was taken from Danny Keith Martin’s Freedom Accountability page and he and Svetlana were tight also like Danny allowing Svetlana to stay at his place in Calgary when she visited him there (likely they were both working for the Calgary Police infiltrating the independence movement imo)… thats another story.
Did anyone regard my questions, investigations, or public commentary as a threat to their plans for Alberta independence?
That is a question about motive—not a conclusion about who firebombed our home. I do not have evidence establishing that Alberta separatism, American officials, or the people collectively pictured in that collage were responsible.
But I want the threats and attacks against me examined properly, including any relevant communications between the people involved.
I was not campaigning against Alberta independence
Let me make something clear: my homeland is Newfoundland.
I lived in Alberta for approximately 25 years and worked in its oil-and-gas industry during that time. I know something about exploration, corporate interests, and the enormous money tied to the province’s resources.
But whether Alberta separates is not a personal crusade of mine. Frankly, I could give two flying fucks whether it separates or not.
What I care about is honesty, accountability, and people being able to ask questions without becoming targets.
If someone interpreted my scrutiny as opposition to their political project, they misunderstood my position.
My interactions were not all the same
I have had interactions with many of the people featured in the collage. Some were positive—including interactions with David Parker. Many others were negative.
Some blocked me, including people with whom I do not recall having any direct interaction. Jeff Rath is one example. For the record, he also reminds me of comedian Chris Farley—but that resemblance is hardly an investigative finding.
Being blocked does not establish wrongdoing. Neither does a disagreement.
My concerns arise from specific conduct I have experienced and described, including the attacks I attribute to Marty Bélanger, known online as Marty Up North, and my history involving former Castlegar RCMP Staff Sergeant Brett Turner.

Dennis Modry, Svetlana Dalla Lana and the political connections
First off let me start this one with the smoking gun photo of Svetlanas’ involvement in politics in Alberta.. yep a photo with Premier Smith in November 2022 just after she became Premier in October 2022 if I recall.
Then there is this photograph of Svetlana Dalla Lana with Dennis Modry, in a post dated May 29, 2022. Modry told me during a personal telephone conversation that he had advised Danielle Smith before she became premier.
There is also a separate account concerning Svetlana’s cabin on Christina Lake. Her former fiancé told me he found a receipt from a local cannabis retailer inside the cabin bearing Modry’s name and payment-card information. I have not independently verified that receipt or the circumstances surrounding it. Its reported presence alone would not establish that Modry visited the property, although that is something I believe warrants clarification.
The property was an off-grid, boat-access-only cabin purchased for approximately $1.4 million. I know about the purchase because I helped Svetlana buy it.
According to what Svetlana later told me, she and her fiancé, Michael Martinz, used the cabin to produce content for her OnlyFans account. She said Michael purchased approximately $5,000 worth of camera equipment. Michael subsequently told me he possessed thousands of photographs and videos from that activity.
These are distinct sources: my firsthand involvement in the property purchase, statements made directly to me, and a third-party account of a receipt. They should not be collapsed into a single proven narrative. The photograph documents an encounter; the other claims require their own supporting evidence.

That article contains my account, interpretation, and allegations alongside references to public information. Linking it here provides background; it does not independently prove a connection to the firebombing.
I believe Svetlana Dalla Lana cultivated relationships within some of these circles. I have described that as infiltration, but that is my interpretation—not an established finding of a covert operation.
I also allege that her fiancé was involved in a plot against my life. That allegation must be assessed against the actual reports, communications, recordings, and investigative findings.
I have referred to photographs that I understand show Svetlana with Michael Flynn in the United States. Those photographs should be considered with their source and context. This was a link to a social medai post that Svetlana has send me on December 7 2022. This was when she was living in Calgary at the time in a downtown Condo that was owed by … yep Theo Fleury… more on that later.
A photograph can document an encounter. It cannot, by itself, establish an intelligence relationship, coordination, or involvement in violence.
The useful question is whether communications connect any of these relationships to the threats against me. That requires evidence.
Alberta’s oil wealth belongs in the political discussion
My view is that Alberta’s resource wealth is central to understanding the interest its political future attracts.
One factual correction matters: Canada and Venezuela are not the world’s two largest holders of proven oil reserves. Venezuela ranks first; the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s January 2024 figures placed Canada fourth, behind Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. www.eia.gov
That still puts Canada among the world’s largest reserve holders.
I see parallels between international interest in Alberta and the strategic importance of Venezuela’s oil. But a resource comparison does not establish that the United States intends to seize Alberta’s resources or considers me a threat.
The reported meetings between Alberta Prosperity Project representatives and U.S. officials make questions about foreign political and economic interests legitimate. U.S. officials said those meetings produced no commitments supporting separation. www.ft.com
Who wants influence over Alberta’s future, and what do they expect to gain? That is a question worth pursuing through records and disclosure.
Could this explain the firebombing?
It is a possibility I have wondered about. It remains unproven.
The leap from public hostility to responsibility for a firebombing is substantial. The further leap to American involvement is larger still. Political associations cannot fill those evidentiary gaps.

Investigators should follow credible evidence wherever it leads, compare possible motives, and explain their findings.
I want to know who targeted our home and why. If political hostility played a role, establish it. If it did not, establish that too.
My family deserves answers grounded in evidence.
