On September 23, 2025, Michael Martinz sent me a message that reads very differently today:
I dont trust her that she isnt gonna burn your house down
The woman we were discussing was Svetlana (the former sister of the Mayor of Castlegar. My understanding at the time was that Michael was her fiancé. This was someone who knew her personally expressing a specific fear about my home.
On January 22, 2026 — 121 days later — our home in Castlegar was firebombed while my daughter and I were inside…. This was after a Duty To Warn by the RCMP who a PI told it was Martinz planning a hit while him and Svetlana vacationed in Costa Roca between Nov 19tb and Dec 23rd 2025… yeah that all happened!!
Reading that exchange now feels like reading a premonition. That is how it strikes me in hindsight. It does not establish that Michael had advance knowledge of the attack, or that Svetlana was involved. But the warning is there, in writing, months before our home was attacked.
September 23: “She’s in fukn Castlegar”
The original screenshot carries the date September 23, 2025. Michael appears under the contact name “Miggy.” My messages are blue; his are grey.
At 6:52 p.m., I wrote:
She’s in fukn Castlegar
Michael replied:
Interesting
Then:
Maybe to meet the “real men” that are coming for you!
At 6:57 p.m., he wrote:
Id advise the rxmp bro
I replied, also marked 6:57 p.m.:
They r already on it
Then came the sentence I cannot get past:
I dont trust her that she isnt gonna burn your house down
His next message, marked 6:57 p.m., was:
You got her truck photos right?
The house-burning sentence has no separate visible timestamp. It appears between messages marked 6:57 p.m.; the screenshot displays no time zone. Those details matter because I want the record kept accurately.
This was a specific concern about someone burning my house down, alongside a reference to “real men” coming for me. What was Michael basing those statements on?
That evening, I warned the RCMP about our home
I understood Svetlana to be in Castlegar that day, based on what I believed her Facebook post showed. I was concerned she might retaliate against us, and I raised a home-safety concern with police.
At 7:36:47 p.m. PDT on September 23, 2025, I emailed Castlegar RCMP Staff Sgt. Monty Taylor:
Taylor, she’s in Castlegar as of this morning see her FB post below she better not be coming to our home!!!! I will hold you accountable if she does!!
That is the date in the supplied email header. I had previously recalled September 22; the written record corrects that recollection to September 23.
The email records what I reported and the concern I put to Taylor. It does not independently verify Svetlana’s whereabouts, confirm that Taylor read it, or show what police did in response. Nor does this email show that I forwarded Michael’s exact house-burning warning to police.
What it does show is that my concern about someone coming to our home was recorded months before the attack.
January 22: our home was attacked
On January 22, 2026, our home was firebombed. My daughter and I were inside. We suffered smoke inhalation and went to hospital.
That is why this September exchange is so chilling to revisit. The possibility Michael raised — someone burning my house down — bears a disturbing resemblance to the violence that later reached our front door.
The resemblance deserves examination. Establishing a connection requires evidence.
I am not presenting this text as proof that Svetlana carried out, arranged or knew about the attack. It is evidence that Michael communicated this particular concern to me before the firebombing. His reasons for doing so remain an important unanswered question.
What needs answering
- What prompted Michael to raise the possibility of Svetlana burning my house down?
- What did he mean by the “real men” he said were coming for me?
- What assessment and follow-up, if any, resulted from my September 23 email to Taylor?
- Have investigators examined the original exchange and sought an explanation from Michael?
These are concrete questions arising from a dated record. They deserve concrete answers.
I do not have to pretend this was a supernatural prediction to explain why it matters. Someone warned me in writing about my house being burned down. I separately warned police about a concern at our home that same evening. Four months later, my daughter and I were inside when our home was firebombed.
I want to know what lay behind that warning — and what was done about the concerns we raised before the attack.
